What is the Rural Sales Manager Mastery™ Group?

The Rural Sales Manager Mastery Group is a coaching and peer-learning programme designed for rural sales managers who want to become better leaders, motivators, and coaches. You’ll learn how to build high-performing teams, improve sales results, and handle the everyday challenges of leading in the rural sales environment.

You’ll also gain access to a supportive community of peers, along with tools, resources, and training inside your Skool account.

What do we cover in the programme?

Every session is practical, punchy, and built for real-world rural sales leadership. You’ll learn how to run better coaching conversations with your team, use the Rural Run Rate Sheet to keep performance on track, and get organised with the Coachee Accountability Sheet so every check-in actually moves the needle.

We’ll also cover how to attract and recruit top rural sales talent (with proven interview questions you can use straight away), how to use AI to review and improve your sales calls, and how to apply the Rural Sales Optimism Test to lift confidence, consistency, and results. Plus, you’ll get simple, effective strategies to maximise your energy and productivity—so you can lead well without burning out.

All resources, recordings, and materials live inside your Skool account, so you can revisit them anytime.

What does it cost to join?

A company seat is $5,000 upfront and $1,500 per month, with NO limit on the number of sales manager, leaders or owners who can take part. There are no contracts – you can stay as long as you’re getting value.

What is Skool and do I need to set up an account?

Skool is an online platform where we come together for our courses, masterclasses, ask questions, and receive and give feedback from like-minded people. It’s a space for engaging with others and fostering a friendly atmosphere!

We will send you an invitation to join Skool, along with an email confirmation. In that email, we'll share all the details on how to sign up for a new account and how to access and navigate the portal.

What if I didn’t receive the Skool invite?

If the email isn’t showing up in your inbox, be sure to check your Junk or Spam folder, as it might have been filtered there by your corporate firewall. If you still can't find it, there's no need to worry; the email confirmation we send will include an invite link, and you can join from there. Please email [email protected] if you have any tech issues, lose your password and need it re-setting or re-supplying the invite

When and where does the sales training take place?

We meet weekly every Tuesday 8:00am - 9.30am AEST/10 - 11.30am NZT for 90 minutes each time (that’s over 6 hours of live coaching a month from yours truly!). Please check your local time zones and don't forget daylight saving time for your area and New Zealand.

The training session will be conducted online via Zoom. We use Zoom because it allows for a far better, enriching and immersive training experience including interactive chat and whiteboard sessions (which Microsoft Teams unfortunately doesn’t do as well).

Where do I get the Zoom link for the training?

We use the same Zoom link in the Calendar section on Skool.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Zoom installed and ready to use on your device(s) before the training call, so you don’t miss any valuable training time due to technical issues.

Can I ask questions outside of the calls?

Absolutely. You can post questions for St John anytime inside the portal, and he’ll always reply. But don’t forget to tap into the power of the group — many members have already faced (or are currently facing) the same challenges as you.

We say knowledge shared is knowledge multiplied. Be a giver and you’ll get plenty in return.

How do I access the training references and recorded masterclass materials?

The Classroom section in Skool is a valuable resource that houses all the training reference, cheat sheets, templates and recorded masterclasses conducted thus far. This section will be regularly updated as we progress, ensuring that all participants have access to the latest materials.

If you can do internet banking or Netflix, our training portal interface is much the same and easy to use and navigate round : )  All cheat sheets, scripts and templates can be saved and downloaded to your devices or company server.

How much time do I need to allow per week for training?

You need to allocate 1.5 hours each week for the accountability calls and about 30mins for any homework (which won’t be set each week – don’t worry!). We do recommend you re-watch the recordings again if you need to refresh yourself to help you when we test for recall and retrieval on the following call.

You can also use the transcripts to search for the specific topic or term or speed play (note: you can listen at 1.5X as our brains can process 400words/min but only speak at 125 :).

How long does the entire training/programme last?

We run the Rural Sales Syndicate™ as a community - not a hostage situation.

Our No-Contract Policy at the Rural Sales Syndicate! We believe in flexibility! With our no-contract policy, you can leave whenever you need to. If you decide to come back, just know that you will need to pay the company seat fee of $5,000 again. When you rejoin, we will welcome you back and start you off at the beginning of the training programme, which we run monthly. It’s all about making it work for you!

Are previous calls recorded for those members who can’t attend the training session?

Every training session is recorded and made available to all members, allowing anyone who missed the session to catch up by viewing the recordings. We know and get that life happens eg. sick kids, travel/transit at airports, and poor internet when on the road.  The links can be found in the Community section in Skool or by searching "Weekly Coaching Call recording".

However, we do ask you make training a priority to honour the investment and commit wherever and whenever you can, or you won’t get the full value out of the programme.

Do I get any 1:1 support with St John Craner?

Yes — you get a free 1-hour onboarding call with St John to set you up for success.

If you’re really struggling and need extra help, you can request a link to book a 1:1 session. Please keep in mind that this is a privilege we offer to support members in genuine need, so we ask everyone to use it fairly and sparingly.

To respect all members’ access, additional free 1:1 calls aren’t included as part of your membership.

Are cheat sheets available in the module, and can the recorded training sessions be downloaded?

Yes, we highly encourage you to download them to your company server forever more, especially the recorded training sessions for future training purposes as our Zoom account has multiple recordings (as we coach up to 5-7 separate teams each week) but only offers limited cloud recording storage so we strongly encourage you to download and save all coaching call recordings to your company server as soon as you get them as the links we send do expire in 30 days.

Can I download the training videos from the portal?

Unfortunately, they are not available for download. This decision was made to protect the content and our intellectual property from unauthorised sharing, as there have been unfortunate instances where individuals downloaded and distributed it to non-paying users and the public. However, we do offer a variety of other many valuable training resources that you can access and download, including podcasts and cheat sheets (which you can download and print out from the portal easily and seamlessly).

Can I share my login link with others who will benefit from the course?

Sharing your login details with others is strictly prohibited, and any suspicious behaviour may result in losing lifetime access to the programme for you and your company. We monitor login activity through IP addresses to prevent unauthorised access to our intellectual property that has been crafted and collated over a decade and cost $000,000s to produce.

How do I stay updated on recent community activity?

If you want to be notified and stay updated on recent community activities, you can download the Skool app on Apple and Android to receive notifications about training updates, members' posts, questions, and feedback. f you want to get notified and stay updated on recent Community activities, you can download the Skool app on Apple and Android to receive notifications about training updates, members' posts, questions and feedbacks.

What benefits will this have to my business as a whole?

It all comes down to your attitude and willingness to learn, but most importantly, apply. Knowledge not used is useless and nothing will work unless you work.

Honour the investment and commitment made in you by using and applying what you’ve been taught.

We have countless case studies of reps, managers, CEOs, VP, MD and GMs who have been willing to go on video and vouch for our work and results.

Do you offer any guarantees?

We guarantee to lift your sales by a minimum of 5% within the first 100 days IF your team can prove they have used and applied all that we have taught and trained them. If they have and you don’t get a minimum of a 5% lift in sales St John will personally work with you until you do.

We have never had to do this in our entire company history.

On an aggregated average (because we can’t of course disclose individual client commercial confidentialities) those team members that do and apply the work are achieving a 15.7% lift in sales with significantly faster sales cycles and higher conversion rates at better maintained margins.

Furthermore, often the clients and their teams are the biggest variable here as we have countless case studies from GMs/VPs/CEOS who vouch for us and our work. The biggest failure we see if a failure to implement the tools and techniques we teach – managers play a big part in the recall and reinforcement of the training.

For proof and truth that back up our results please make sure you check out the countless case studies we have on file and numerous testimonials we have from very busy CEOs/MDs/VPs and GMs who were willing to go on video and vouch for us and our work here

Will I benefit from being part of the Group or will I get lost?

You will learn as much from our brilliant community of peers as you will from St John. Many of them will be or will have faced and handled the same situation you are in so you never need to do it alone as your job on the frontline is hard enough as it is!

As we like to say: “None of us are as smart as all of us” and more brains are better than one!

When you log into our Skool portal you can post any question you like to the Group and St John. The more you help the Group and be a generous member who gives, the more you will get. The more you put into the Group (eg. answering their questions), the more you will get out of the Group (them answering your questions). A bit like life!
